Backpacking accommodation, is available in Boracay — if you are looking for one. Just head down to the area south of boat station 3 on White Beach and ask for nipa huts for rent.
Nipa Huts are available for around P500 or less, though facilities are pretty basic. You will be provided with an electric fan and a mosquito net, but there is usually no hot water.

Mabinis Place Boracay

Mabinis Place Boracay have little beach-hut style cottages at the southern end of the island.
The facilities are pretty basic, but the view makes up for it - they are really close to the sea, and on a nice quiet part of the beach.
There is also pretty good snorkeling in this area.
