Here's what a recent visitor to Discovery Shores has to say about their stay in this hotel:
We've stayed for 4 nights at the Discovery Shores. It's absolute the most beautiful hotel on Boracay. Its brand new and member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The suites are very spacious and the interior is very modern, but still native.... Flat-screen TV, I-pod, CD/DVD, Save, Alarm clock, everything is there.. But..... The suites have no privacy at all! If you want to relax on your balcony, you must count with the fact that everyone can see you.. You have to shut down the shades, if you want some privacy....
The breakfast buffet for western guests is very poor! For Asian guests there's a lot to choose.... The service during the breakfast is chaotic, a lot of staff, but they aren't working very organized. If you order something, you have to wait a long time... I've had the feeling they didn't had a overview(maybe because its a brand new hotel???) The beach is really one of the best I've ever saw! The staff and service on the beach is impeccable! Very friendly and they run for you! But....... The hotel has 88 suites, but only 26(!) sun beds! So if you're a long sleeper, petty for you... No more sun beds....

Location Description
Discovery Shores Boracay is a premiere resort located in Station 1, Boracay Island. From overseas, one takes a flight to Manila and proceeds to the domestic airport to take a flight to either Kalibo Island or Caticlan Island.
From Kalibo, Discovery Shores staff will pick up the guest to take a 1.3 hrs bus ride to the Caticlan jetty port to then proceed to take a private boat ride to Boracay Island (20 mins).
From Caticlan, Discovery Shores staff takes the guest straight to the private boat leading to Boracay Island (20mins).

Rooms
Averaging 45 sq meters, one can select from either two super twin size beds or one king size depending on the occupants requirement.
All studio rooms come with an extra day bed for lounging and eating which also doubles as sleeping for the third guest checking in. Amenities include a minibar, cable TV with DVD, heated water, Internet access, telephone, room service, spa room service, and private rock gardens or balconies. Toilets are uniquely planned in such a way that guests will be pleasantly surprised.
Unlike the typical bathrooms that are enclosed, our bathrooms are openly planned. Lavatories are part of the bedroom beside the minibar and closet area, while the shower and water closet areas are situated in a separate space close to the lavatory.
However, showers still have an open feel because of the full glass feature on one wall that overlooks to the rock garden. This gives a feeling of space and nature. Averaging 120 sq meters of space, this unit is perfect for big groups of friends or family with relatives who want to stay together and have fun.
The unit includes a spacious living area, a dining area, bar with kitchenette, two private rooms each with its own toilet and bath, one of which has access from the living area for convenience of the guest outside the room. A balcony with a splendid view of the greens and sky.
Facilities
All basic amenities are included with additional two TV DVD equipment, located at the 2 bedroom and living area. A king and 2 queen size beds await the guests checking in with a very spacious L shaped sofa at the living room that, again, doubles as a sleeping space during the night.
Averaging 65 sq meters, this unit is considerably bigger and is ideal for four persons. This room includes a spacious living area, a nook, kitchenette with bar, and a separate bedroom with two queen size beds.
The L shaped sofa at the living doubles as a sleeping space for the two other guests checking in. All basic amenities of the studio unit are also applicable to this one bedroom unit with extra TV DVD equipment and a bath tub for relaxation.
The toilet has access from the bedroom and from the living area, this way, the guest sleeping outside doesn't need go through the bedroom to use it. Again, the shower area with its featured glass wall on one side overlooking the garden is applied.
