Flights to Boracay
Currently several major airlines offer daily flights to Boracay, either directly to Caticlan from Manila or via Kalibo in Aklan. Only smaller aircraft can land at the Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan due to the shorter runways but, with the airport only a few minutes away from the Caticlan Jetty Port where you catch the banca to Boracay, you can save time by avoiding the land trip from Kalibo to Caticlan.
Flights To Boracay
There are four major entry points into the Philippines from overseas:
- Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila;
- Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu;
- Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Angeles City, Pampanga;
- Subic Bay International Airport in Subic, Zambales.
International Passengers: Please Take Note!
International passenger bound for Boracay catch a connecting flight from Manila to Boracay via either Kalibo or Caticlan in Panay Island. However, the other international airports in Cebu and Pampanga also have flights to Boracay via these two towns.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has exclusive use of Terminal 2, the "Centennial Terminal" of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). PAL uses the North Wing for its international flights and the South Wing for its domestic flights. International flights of all other airlines (except Cebu Pacific) use NAIA Terminal 1.
Since 1 August 2008, Cebu Pacific has been operating all of its domestic and international flights from Terminal 3 of the NAIA. Connecting flights either to Kalibo or Caticlan depart from the Manila Domestic Airport, which is around 2 km north of NAIA. Airport shuttle buses carry passengers across to the Domestic Airport from NAIA.
Larger jet planes can only land at the Kalibo Airport (classified as an international gateway) due to the smaller runways in the Caticlan airport, which can only accommodate smaller jets and propeller-driven aircraft.
The following airlines currently have scheduled flights to Boracay on a regular basis.
