Exploring the Coral Gardens in a Glass Bottom Boat In Boracay

When you're in Boracay, getting around and exploring is easy — both from within and around the island itself.

Although motorcars are not allowed on the island, there are other means of discovering the beautiful and unique sights as well as other interesting places in the vicinity.

Glass Bottom Boat

Tricycles & Pedicabs

Motorized tricycles are the main means of transport on the island.

They serve as taxicabs or as PUV's (public utility vehicles) to carry passengers and their luggage from one place to another anywhere on Boracay Island.

Another common means of transport in Boracay are pedicabs.

If you are one of the uninitiated, pedicabs are human-powered tricycles authorized to carry passengers around the island.

Mountain Biking

Mountain bikes are fun to ride.

You can climb and go down steep terrain or simply go on easy paths if you are not too confident yet with your skills.

You can hire bikes in Boracay and ride by yourself or with other members of the family or your own peers.

One of the best ways to see some of the most spectacular places in America is by RV Camping! If you want to change the way you think about taking a vacation check out RV sales to see motorhomes for sale.

Motorcycles or Motorbikes

Motorcycles or motorbikes are available for hire in Boracay.

So if you can ride, why not hire a motorcycle to tour the Island in style.

You can go one end to the other in no time at all.

Just be aware that it can be dangerous managing these beasts off the beaten path.

Don't forget to wear protective gear: goggles, gloves, jacket, boots & &mdash most important of all — put on a proper helmet

Horse Riding

Horses are also enjoyable to ride.

They are also very versatile.

Horses go practically anywhere they can put their hooves on.

The Boracay Horse Riding Stables caters to individual or groups and organizes tours on horseback around the island accompanied by one of the stables' expert guides..

If you are an experienced equestrian, you can hire a horse to ride around by yourself.

Walking or Hiking

Walking, however, is the cheapest means to go about exploring the island.

Not only is it good exercise, but you can also enjoy the sights as you go along the man-made trails.

There are many terms to describe this the oldest means of going around known to man (and woman!), such as hiking, trekking, bush walking, or orienteering.

Paraw Sailboat

Paraws are colorful sailboats which you can hire to take you on boat trips around Boracay Island itself.

There are places in Boracay, like some of the bat caves, that are inaccessible by land.

You get to see them by means of these paraw boats.

Motorized Outrigger Boats or "Bancas"

Bancas are larger outrigger motorized boats which can accommodate more passengers.

They're normally employed as ferries to cross Tabon Strait, but they are also used for ferrying large groups on sightseeing trips.

Because these boats are bigger and faster, you get to see more places.

Glass Bottom Boats

The Glass Bottom Boat, as the name suggests, is a boat with a bottom especially made of clear toughened glass or other transparent materials such as plastic to enable passengers to view the underwater corals and fish from inside the boat as it moves around the reef.

Yachts

Yachts, such as the Tamarind, are luxury boats which can be hired for getting around Boracay.

There are those who will even venture on to say that you haven't really been to Boracay unless you've sailed on the Tamarind.

Helicopters

Helicopters are the best means of touring the island, if you can afford the sky-high (pun intentional) fees, and you're not scared of dizzying heights.

This could be the ultimate thrill for getting around in Boracay as you can experience spectacular views from above.

A helicopter can be hired by the hour.
