Exploring Boracay
& Surrounding Islands

Although motorcars are not allowed on the island, there are other means of discovering the beautiful and unique sights as well as other interesting places in the vicinity.
Tricycles & Pedicabs
Motorized tricycles are the main means of transport on the island.
They serve as taxicabs or as PUV's (public utility vehicles) to carry passengers and their luggage from one place to another anywhere on Boracay Island.
Another common means of transport in Boracay are pedicabs.
If you are one of the uninitiated, pedicabs are human-powered tricycles authorized to carry passengers around the island.
Mountain Biking
Mountain bikes are fun to ride.
You can climb and go down steep terrain or simply go on easy paths if you are not too confident yet with your skills.

Just be aware that it can be dangerous managing these beasts off the beaten path.
Don't forget to wear protective gear: goggles, gloves, jacket, boots & &mdash most important of all — put on a proper helmet
Horse Riding
Horses are also enjoyable to ride.
They are also very versatile.
Horses go practically anywhere they can put their hooves on.

If you are an experienced equestrian, you can hire a horse to ride around by yourself.

Not only is it good exercise, but you can also enjoy the sights as you go along the man-made trails.

Motorized Outrigger Boats or "Bancas"

They're normally employed as ferries to cross Tabon Strait, but they are also used for ferrying large groups on sightseeing trips.

Glass Bottom Boats
The Glass Bottom Boat, as the name suggests, is a boat with a bottom especially made of clear toughened glass or other transparent materials such as plastic to enable passengers to view the underwater corals and fish from inside the boat as it moves around the reef.
