Why Are You Going?

First of all, you have to ask yourself why you want to go.

Do you want to go to Boracay to have fun on your own or with some friends or family members?

Or, do you want to go there just to see the place, just as you would travel to any other place on a sightseeing tour.

Do you just want to be by yourself and get away from it all?

Perhaps you want to enjoy nature at its best while relaxing on the beach with no cares at all — just you amidst the peace and quiet out there where no one even knows you.

Sometimes these are difficult questions to answer.

So allow us to give you some pointers or tips which could help you decide when's the best time to go to Boracay.

High Season - November to May

Seasoned travelers prefer to go there during the high season for the following reasons:

  • Main reason is that days tend to be sunny and dry.
  • Crowds are bigger and merrier due to festivities.
  • Hotels sponsor fun activities to attract vacationers.
  • Sponsors promote high profile sporting events, e.g.
Boracay Funboard Cup held in January.
  • Christmas, New Year and Easter occur during this time.
  • World-famous festive celebrations are held during the high season, e.g.
    the Ati-Atihan Festival in January.

Low Season - June to October

There are also travelers who prefer to travel to Boracay during the "low season" because:

  • They just want to relax and unwind on their vacation.
  • They want to avoid crowds and high-intensity noise.
  • They don't mind the occasional rain in exchange for peace and quiet.
  • They want to avoid high travel costs during high season.
