Airline Flights to Boracay

Airline Flights to Boracay is still the best and fastest way of getting there. Manila is the common starting point for travelers, but other airports located in Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan Island, zebu and Clark in Angeles City, Pampanga also have flights to Boracay via Kalibo or Caticlan. If you are an international passenger bound for Boracay, you can catch a connecting flight to either one of these two towns in Panay Island.

Boracay by Land

If you want to save on your travel budget and don't mind a bumpy ride, traveling to Boracay by Land is another way of going to Boracay. This is via the Roll-On-Roll-Off (RO-RO) route, a government initiative to encourage access to selected tourism areas.

It traverses the Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH) -- one of Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's pet projects.

Boracay by Sea

You can also go to Boracay by Sea. A ferry boat travels from Manila to Caticlan three times a week. Air-conditioned bunks are available in these ferries, and there are limited cabin bunks you can get for an additional cost.

Crossing Tabon Strait

All passengers bound for Boracay will have to undergo security checks, go through inspection and submit for port clearance at the Caticlan Jetty Port. Since the implementation of the Government's new One Entry, One Exit Policy, the only way into and out of Boracay is through the Jetty Port at Caticlan, Aklan. From there, visitors headed for Boracay Island Philippines will be Crossing Tabon Strait, which separates Boracay from the mainland.

At the Port terminal in Caticlan, you will board one of the motorized outrigger boats known locally as "bancas." Your disembarking point in Boracay Island Philippines is the Cagban Jetty Port at the southern tip of the island.
