Mabinis Place Boracay

Mabinis Place - Back to Basics Mabinis Place - Back to Basics

Mabinis Place Boracay have little beach-hut style cottages at the southern end of the island. The facilities are pretty basic, but the view makes up for it - they are really close to the sea, and on a nice quiet part of the beach. There is also pretty good snorkeling in this area. You can haggle with them about the price. They would quote P1000 per night, but you could reduce that a bit. They also offer discounts for long term stay.

Unique Qualities:

The cottages are native style made of bamboo and nipa (used to thatch the roof) and elevated on stilts. As far as I know there is no hot water, although in the summer this is not a problem. There is an assortment of funky little beach bars in this area, and some nice restaurants. This is a good place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds.

There is also pretty good snorkeling in this area. You can haggle with them about the price. I was quoted P1000 per night, but I'm sure you could reduce that a bit. They also offer discounts for long term stay.
