Smoke Restaurant: The Best On a Budget

Sirenna's Comments, updated on Jun 19, 2006, in VirtualTourist. Smoke restaurant is owned and operated by the friendly Ancho and his wife Ria, who offer some of the tastiest Filipino dishes on the island.

There are plenty of choices on offer, from sandwiches, omelettes, pasta and breakfasts to chicken, fish, squid, pork and beef dishes. You can even purchase your fresh fish in the nearby market and have them grill it for you. There are a lot of budget restaurants on the island, but few - if any - can compare to Smoke.

Favorite Dish: The only downside is the portions were a little small, but at these prices (dishes start at around P50) we could easily afford to order an extra main course between two of us to fill us up. We've also eaten here with a group of friends, and ordered a selection of dishes which we passed around the table. Try the Sinigang Soup, the Hunter's Chicken and the Stuffed Squid. Smoke also offer a home delivery service.
