My friends and I went to Boracay for the first time last week. We wanted to try out the seafood being offered at the restaurants on the beachfront, but it was expensive.

A native of the island whom we had met that day recommended we go to PRAJAN'S BEACH CAMP, a restaurant located at d'talipapa, which has a set menu but also cooks the raw seafood you buy from the market whatever way you want it cooked.

So we decided to go there. After buying prawns and squid at the market, we went to the restaurant, advised them on how to cook it, and excitedly waited for our order. We were the third customer who arrived, so we were expecting our food to be served quickly.

An hour later, all the other customers were served, except us. (even the one who came later than we did) When we called the attention of the waitress, she would pretend to check if our food was being prepared, but wouldn't come back to our table to update us.

We asked her thrice. We were wondering why it was taking so long, since there were only 4 customers. Apparently, according to the waitress, they only have one stove! You have a restaurant in one of the best places in the Philippines, in a tourist spot, and you have only ONE STOVE???

Finally, after 1 1/2 hours, our food was served. It was nothing special, actually, it didn't even taste good. And to top it off, there was a strand of hair in my rice! When I called the attention of the waiter, he just said I could have it changed if I wanted. If I wanted???? OF COURSE I wanted it changed! He didn't even apologize or anything.

And we had to wait another 15 minutes for the new rice. Since we were seething with anger, we hardly touched our food, just ate a bit, paid the bill and left. What a disappointment, especially since it was recommended by a local!

And on retrospect, we even paid the same as we would have if we had eaten in one of the beachfront restaurants, and I'm sure there would have been better service, and the food would have been more palatable. Such a waste of hard-earned money!

What a way to ruin our vacation!... At least it's a lesson learned. So, to enjoy yourselves, and make the most of your vacation, PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT.
